My name is Emily Bressler and I’m a humor and personal essay writer based in New York. Specifically, I’m the first writer to be based out of Brooklyn. Ever. I’m the only one. Don’t look it up, just trust me on this.

I recently completed an Editorial Fellowship with BuzzFeed and a Humor Writing Residency with St. Nell’s. I also hold a BA in Government and American Studies from Cornell University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. The fact that I have an MBA often surprises people, which I take as both a compliment and an insult. But mostly a compliment.
